Murdered Over Beef Rumours: Victim of Hate Politics?

Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal make a flying visit to the village in Dadri near Delhi where a 50-year old man was lynched over rumours he consumed beef. It's taken them five days to go there - quite besides which, we need to ask a simple question: Do flying visits by politicians to an area hit by communal strife help the victims of the tragedy? Or are these politicians making an appearance for the benefit of television cameras?
