Khadi Calendar 'Modi'-Fied: Misappropriating Gandhi's Legacy?
Has the Prime Minister usurped Gandhiji as the country's premier khadi icon? We ask this because the opposition is angry and upset that the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) in its calendar features PM Narendra Modi spinning Khadi on a charkha instead of Mahatma Gandhi. The imagery is all wrong says the opposition. The BJP has hit back and points out that there have been many years when Gandhiji did not figure in the calendar. So why is the opposition complaining?
