Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Annamalai has defended receiving funds from his friends to take care of his political expenses of up to Rs eight lakh a month. Denying there is any quid pro quo, the former IPS officer has appealed to the public to fund him if they believe in his or his party's cause. Annamalai's disclosure had stoked controversy recently.
