Younger Women Face High Risk Of Heart Diseases

Fast-paced lifestyles, unhealthy diet and stressful days have increased the burden of cardio-vascular diseases on Indian women. The risk group is also no longer above the age of 60. The largest group of women at risk are now aged 35-44. Doctors say, younger women must take care of their heart and encourage regular screening. Dr Vanita Arora, Interventional Cardiologist at Max Super Speciality Hospital says women should also avoid taking medicines without appropriate prescription. "Certain lifestyle changes ares important- Stay physically active, avoid saturated or trans fat, added sugars and most importantly learn about heart disease symptoms," she advises.
