On the occasion of World Day against Child Labour, marked annually on June 12, Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Peace Laureate spoke to NDTV exclusively. Mr Satyarthi talked about the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on vulnerable communities and children, and how it has led to increased exploitation of children. Mr Satyarthi also shared the global perspective on child labour and his journey towards child protection. In 1980, Mr Satyarthi initiated Bachpan Bachao Andolan, a movement campaigning for the protection of children that has rescued over one lakh children from the drudges of child trafficking.
