Vote against Lanka: Coalition compulsion?

India is among 24 countries that voted against Sri Lanka at a session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva. The UN's top human rights body passed a resolution yesterday, sponsored by the US, for 'promoting reconciliation and accountability' in Sri Lanka after its army won a 26-year-long civil war by defeating the rebel Tamil Tigers.
