While tourists and pilgrims have been evacuated from Uttarakhand, a large number of locals are still completely cut off. Incessant rains over the last three days have only made it worse with relief materials including ration not reaching the villagers stranded in remote areas in the state. Pushed to the edge, locals in Sangam Chatti near Uttarkashi have now been compelled to risk their lives for in order to survive.
