Train Derailed, Cars Washed Away As Flash Floods Strike Maharashtra

As the monsoon pours down over Maharashtra, a train headed from Surat to Nandurbar in the north-western corner of the state slid off its tracks this morning. There were few passengers on the train when five of its coaches derailed. Train services in the area have been suspended till the tracks are repaired, which is estimated to take 24 hours, according to officials.
