Ninety six children have died in Odisha's Malkangiri over a span of two months. While the cause of death is suspected to be Japanese Encephalitis, sources say that the technical experts, who are probing the outbreak, have some startling findings. The announcement for the same will be made on Friday. Some experts, however, suspect that a toxic bean could be behind the deaths in Odisha as was the case in 2007's Saharanpur deaths.
