Ironical it may be, but India's moon hero M Annadurai - who is the program manager for India's maiden mission to Mars, Mangalyaan - helped find water on the lunar surface in 2009, but in his own village in Tamil Nadu potable drinking water was found only in 2013. Speaking to NDTV inside the facility where the Mars mission was conceived, Mr Annadurai says Mangalyaan is well poised to solve the riddle of the presence or absence of methane on Mars.
