There is a huge divide still when it comes to Internet: Ashutosh Varshney
Professor of International Studies & Social Sciences at Brown University feels that a large part of India's voters are in the rural areas and even the urban poor still don't have access to Internet. So it is still a long way to go before Internet's impact can be felt on the democracy.
