Srinagar: Fire at old Secretariat under control, no casualties

A massive fire broke out in the civil secretariat of Jammu and Kashmir this morning, possibly destroying records kept in the old headquarters of the state government. The fire broke out at around 9:30 am in a two-storey wooden annexe next to the main secretariat, which has offices of the Higher Education Department, the Director of Treasury and Accounts among others.
