Ranil Wickremesinghe is the new Sri Lankan PM amid the worsening economic situation. The ongoing Parliament session, meanwhile, has begun on a rough note, with Wickeremesinghe finding it difficult to garner support from parliamentarians. Citizens protesting at Gotogogama, the tent city in Colombo, too do not seem to be enthused by Wickeremsinghe as the Prime Minister and tell NDTV that he does not enjoy popular mandate.
