Restaurants across Tamil Nadu have suffered a severe hit in business yet again due to curbs over dining out amid the second wave. At least 30,000 restaurants have shut shop over the last two years due to lockdown closure and other curbs. Now the industry has sent as SOS to the state government to spare the industry from the present 50 per cent dining restrictions. It also wants the government to reconsider the total lockdown on Sundays as weekend dining accounts for a bulk of their business. NDTV spoke to a group of restaurant owners in Chennai to get a sense of their situation.
