Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackrey) leader Sanjay Raut on said that the resignation of Sharad Pawar from the post of Nationalist Congress Party Chief was unexpected. Sanjay Raut said, "Today, the autobiography of Sharad Pawar was to be published. He has worked for more than 60-65 years in politics. At the end of the event, he announced his resignation.
