Serum Institute of India (SII) CEO Adar Poonawalla, during a virtual address at the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, spotlighted the number of things that countries can do to fight the pandemic. He spotlighted three things: export restriction bans must be addressed by governments, there must harmonised regulatory framework for pandemic-level development of vaccines as far as clinical trials and other regulatory licences are concerned and the disparity in vaccine certificates must end. Mr Poonawalla said in the future this would be a way of addressing and learning from the lessons so that the same mistakes are not repeated. (Video Courtesy: WEF & CNN)
