Saudi King mediates to save Musharraf: Report

In neighbouring Pakistan, as the coalition government prepares to start impeachment proceedings against President Pervez Musharraf on Monday, there are now reports that the Saudi King is using his leverage with Nawaz Sharif to arrive at a compromise. Saudi Arabia's Intelligence Chief flew down to Islamabad and met President Musharraf and Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, chief of the PML(Q), the party that Musharraf supports.
