Sabrimala: Faith vs rights
A woman from Andhra Pradesh has been detained in Thiruvananthapuram for entering the Sabrimala temple in violation of the custom barring women aged 10-50 years from entering the temple. Authorities at the holy shrine even performed a purification ceremony yesterday, but that has sparked a major debate of faith versus basic rights.
