Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised to unblock obstacles that are hindering the export of fertilisers, including ammonia. Putin said the country would work with the UN to ensure supplies to developing countries. Dmitry Mazepin, head of the Russian commission on production and marketing of fertilisers, had appealed to Putin for help, claiming that the ammonia pipeline linking its manufacturing site in Russia's Togliatti to Ukraine's Odesa is still not operational despite the grain deal signed in Istanbul earlier this year.
