'Ravan Dahan' Marks Dussehra In Srinagar
'Ravan Dahan', or the setting of Ravan effigy on fire, was performed in Srinagar on the occasion of Dussehra on Wednesday. The festival is celebrated every year to commemorate the victory of good over evil as Lord Rama is believed to have killed Ravan on this day. The effigies of Ravan, Kumbhkaran, and Meghnad are set on fire as part of the celebrations.
