Puducherry has become the first among states and union territories to enforce mandatory vaccination. Only around 50% of the eligible population has taken both doses here though 70% has taken the first dose. Health officials have launched a door-to- door screening to administer vaccine to the un-vaccinated or partially vaccinated. NDTV spoke to Puduchery's Public Health Director and his team of doctors who say the mandatory vaccination aims at increasing inoculation and it people can't be forcibly vaccinated.
