BJP's vote share in Uttar Pradesh, the state that sends the highest number of lawmakers to parliament, appears to have stayed the same as last time, says Prannoy Roy. While the Congress's vote share has gone up as a result of the 'Priyanka Gandhi Impact', it seems to have benefited the BJP by cutting in to the UP alliance, or the Mahagathbandhan's vote share, says Dr Roy.
