Verses from the Ranganatha Ramayana in Telugu played out as Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Veerabhadra temple at Lepakshi in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. It is part of his efforts to touch the southern states ahead of the Ram Mandir consecration. Lepakshi is where the wounded Jatayu is believed to have fallen after the battle with Ravana.
