NGOs under scanner with Govt crackdown

In the last few days, ever since the prime minister told NDTV that American NGOs are funding the anti-nuclear protests in Tamil Nadu, the government has cracked the whip on several such organisations. The home minister refused to give details except to say the cases relate to the diversion of funds, but the NGOs say they are being targeted for opposing the state.
