The Congress party's troubles with its allies seem to be growing. The party is yet to finalise its seat sharing deal with Sharad Pawar's NCP in Maharashtra. Now another leader from the NCP, former Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma, has said the party should have nothing to do with the Congress after what happened in Meghalaya. The UPA government has recommended president's rule in Meghalaya after the NCP-led government survived a trust vote by just one vote -- which was the state Speaker's vote.
