In our special series, we visit the home of the 13-year-old maid in Jharkhand who was rescued from the home of a doctor couple in Dwarka in Delhi. The girl's family says she was duped into coming to Delhi and has been missing for six months. In Jharkhand, the crime is barely visible since these cases of missing daughters are not on any police records. And because it remains anonymous, the trafficking business gets fatter, the demand and supply chain better entrenched.
