Investigators probing the Pollachi sex abuse case say many women survivors have confirmed on police helpline that they've suffered sexual abuse, extortion and blackmail by the four men behind bars. However, they are not ready to file a complaint. Locals blame it on Coimbatore SP R Pandiarajan and Tamil Nadu Home Secretary Niranjan Mardi, accusing them of revealing a survivor's name. On Tuesday, all shops and business establishments in Pollachi shut shop demanding a court-monitored probe.
