Kolkata is known for its rich culture, literature, film, food, coffee houses, and historical landmarks. It is also a city of contrasts with wealth & industry, but also the homeless and poor - one of India's largest and most densely populated cities, with one of India's oldest landfills - Dhapa, choked with the daily waste generated in Kolkata homes.
