Hailstorm Damages Crops In UP's Modinagar: Farmers Demand Compensation

Hailstorm has damaged crops in Uttar Pradesh's Modinagar. They are now demanding a relief package from the Government. Modinagar Farmer Mahendra Singh is getting increasingly worried. He had sown wheat crop in this one acre field hoping to get upto four quintals of wheat. Mr Singh and his family were preparing to harvest the wheat crop within the next 20 days when unseasonal rain and hailstorm struck his village, damaging almost three-fourth of his crop. The result - a significant financial loss to his family.
