As court receiver, Justice Soumitra Sen received over 60 lakh rupees but put them in a personal bank account rather than an official one. But Justice Sen can breathe easy for now. The UPA government is in no hurry to begin impeachment proceedings in Parliament against him. The Chief Justice of India wants him removed for misconduct. The case has divided the Law Ministry. The Secretary believed there is a clear case for a chargesheet and Sen had to go.
