Global Leaders Place Sanctions On Coup-Hit Niger

Almost a month after Niger PM Mahamadou's government was deposed in a coup led by the military junta, the people of Niger are coming out in support of the junta amid rising anti-France and anti-US sentiments. Many citizens have voiced their dissatisfaction with the previous government and believe that the junta has their best interest in mind This, even as much of the international community has criticised the junta for bringing instability back to the only relatively stable nation in a region.
