"Firmly In Control": Army After Clash With Chinese Troops

Days after a clash with Chinese troops in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang, Eastern Army commander Lieutenant General RP Kalita asserted that the situation is "firmly in control" in border areas.  "In one of the areas with of Line of Actual Control (LAC), PLA patrol transgressed. They were contested very firmly which led to some physical violence but was contained. We're firmly in control of the situation," he said.
