It's the first big interview of the face of Facebook in India. Facebook has come under political, ministerial and electoral scrutiny in recent times ever since the Cambridge Analytica scandal broke. In India, special attention was paid to the social media giant who also essentially own Instagram and WhatsApp, during the elections to stop the flow of misinformation. Today, Facebook's India boss Ajit Mohan spoke to NDTV about a major new collaboration with the government that could empower more than 3 lakh village entrepreneurs in a way never seen before. However Facebook remains discreet on whether it will accept the government's plans for data localisation.
