After 17 days of non-stop operation, the 41 workers have been evacuated from the Silkyara tunnel on November 28. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami met the workers and welcomed them with garlands of flowers. All the workers have been rushed to the hospital for further medical examinations after evacuating from the tunnel. The unfortunate incident occurred on November 12, after a portion of the under-construction tunnel collapsed on the Silkyara side.
