The youth wing of the ruling DMK is protesting against reported move by centre to make Hindi the medium of instruction in Central government institutions and to bring in a single entrance test to college admissions. The BJP however claims Hindi would be made the medium of instruction only in Hindi speaking states and in other states local language would be the medium of instruction.
