Dravidar Kazhagam (DK), the parent body of the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu held an anti-Hindi agitation today. The members who took a rally attempted to erase the Hindi signages. Police detained them including the DK Chief K Veeramani. Home Minister Amit Shah's recent suggestion to replace English with Hindi as the link language between states and the centre has touched a raw nerve. Even the state BJP is opposing Hindi imposition.
