"The difference between now and then is that the target has changed. That narrative, ungenerous attitude, it's still there. However, it's directed to a different group of people, say Afghanis or Syrian refugees. It was difficult then, but it's probably more difficult now," says Abdulrazak Gunrah, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2021 in a conversation with NDTV's Prannoy Roy.
