Iconic monuments of the national capital including the Rajghat and the Red Fort wall were inundated for most of last week as Delhi witnessed unprecedented floods due to a record high level of the Yamuna River. As the river's level is rising again to around 206 meters after falling for 4 days with more water being released from Haryana, there's a concern about the long term impact the Yamuna water mixed with silt, sewage and garbage will have on Delhi's heritage monuments.
