Delhi Covid-19 Test Cost Capped

In a major decision, a high-powered committee formed by Home Minister Amit Shah under the chairmanship of NITI Aayog member VK Paul has decided that the rate for the RT-PCR tests for COVID-19 in Delhi should be fixed at Rs 2,400 "to provide relief to the common man". Earlier, the cost was Rs 4,500. It has also been decided that COVID-19 tests will be done via new the rapid antigen methodology approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Delhi will receive these kits on "priority".
