Crypto Bill In Lok Sabha Old One, New Bill Soon: Finance Minister

The government will introduce a new bill on crypto in parliament after the cabinet's approval, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said. She said regulation of NFTs (non-fungible token) is also being discussed by the centre. "We discussed crypto regulation versus prohibition debate, looked at taxation on crypto trades and much more as the crypto industry awaits a positive regulation that may allow investing and trading in crypto with certain restrictions," the Finance Minister said.
