"This is not the way we wanted him back," Geetika Lidder, wife of Brigadier Lakhwinder Singh Lidder said today as she and her daughter Aashna gave the Army officer a heart-wrenching farewell at Brar crematorium in Delhi. Daughter Aashna said, "My father was my hero, my best friend". Brigadier Lidder was killed along with Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and 10 others in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu.
