All eight lakh Class 12 students in Tamil Nadu have been promoted. The school education department took into account marks from Class 10 and 11 besides the internal or practical marks from Class 12 on a 50:20:30 ratio. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to one of the students, Reuben Stephen John, and his parents on his plans and challenges through the academic year amid the pandemic as he himself had contracted the virus.
