Amid concerns over the rapidly transmissible variant dominant in India, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson reduced the gap between two doses of AstraZeneca from 12 to 8 weeks for those above 50. In India, the government has decided to extend the gap between the two Covishield doses from 6-8 weeks to 12-16 weeks.
