Cabinet Reshuffle: Piyush Goyal Takes Oath

Piyush Goyal got promoted during the cabinet reshuffle and was sworn in as a Union cabinet minister. He was earlier serving as the Minister of State for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines. Mr Goyal had held the Minister of State for Power and Coal portfolios since 2014. He has been promoted for delivering on the government's rural electrification plan. He has also played a key role for the BJP in elections since 2004.
