Gul Muhammad Mir, a local BJP worker, was on Saturday shot dead by suspected terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, the police have said. Mr Mir was the BJP's district vice president. The party has alleged that his security was recently withdrawn by the state administration, currently run by Governor Satya Pal Malik. While driving the vehicle away, they pumped bullets into Mir, who was popular in the area as ''Atal'', they said.
