Bird flu in Guwahati
There is a fresh outbreak of the deadly bird flu in Guwahati, Assam. As authorities have started culling thousands of chickens and ducks, a ban has been imposed on all sale and purchase of poutry products there. Shops selling raw or cooked chicken are to be temporarily closed and hotels in and around the area have been asked not to sell chicken.
