Within a matter of minutes, 45-year-old Mina Khatoon, from north-eastern Bihar's Purnea district, lost two of her three children, when a deadly storm on Tuesday night blew down her mud and asbestos hut. The storm, with whipping winds in excess of 100 kms an hour, killed 48 people in Bihar's Kosi region, including in Ms Khatoon's Harkheli village. It also massively damaged maize crops in the five hardest-hit districts.
