The Bhagana landless labourers from the Dalit community and the family of the girls who were gang-raped in March this year have been camping out at Jantar Mantar for months but their appeals to several ministers and commissions have gone unanswered. Last night the police removed their shelters and gave them a day to leave. The families say they have nowhere to go and will not move. 250 families were asked to leave Bhagana village in Haryana in 2012 over a land dispute while another 55 were asked to go by the Khap after a gang-rape in March.
