After Jayalalithaa's outsize victory in Tamil Nadu, the Congress, which contested the elections with the DMK, officially conceded defeat. "We wish Jayalalithaa the best," said Congress spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan. She also said her party does not regret sticking with the DMK, whose senior-most leaders are accused of corruption in the 2G spectrum scam. Ms Natarajan said "We are loyal allies and we chose people according to our coalition dharma."
