The Trinamool Congress (TMC) today attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his use of the term "Didi" to mock chief minister Mamata Banerjee. On Saturday, at two rallies in Bengal, PM Modi repeatedly referred to Ms Banerjee as "Didi" in a mocking way, according to three women Trinamool leaders who held a press conference in Kolkata on the issue. It was a violation of the law for the protection of women, the leaders said. According to some sources, TMC is contemplating filing a complaint on the issue.
